Other Straight from the Dyno News: DynoMax Parts Help Build a Classic

Donations from DynoMax helped give Piedmont Technical College’s Automotive Technology students a once in a lifetime opportunity to build a 1965 Cobra replica from scratch.
DynoMax contributed Cyclone Ceramic Coated Headers to the project. The headers feature mandrel bent tubes for up to 35-percent better flow than stock, serrated bent tubes and are precision-machined for leak-free seals. The ceramic coating allows the header to withstand temperatures up to 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit. These headers reduce engine compartment temperatures providing excellent performance.
The bright yellow Cobra replica can’t help but turn heads. It took first place sports car in its debut car show, the Greenwood, South Carolina’s Fourth of July Auto Show in 2007.
Since hitting the road, the Cobra also drove home with awards at the following South Carolina events, ranging from Judge’s Favorite to Best in Show: Classic Truck and Auto Show, Freedom Hope Festival, Annual Jubilee and the Ridge Spring Harvest Festival.
The 1965 Cobra replica was built by the top 20 percent of first and second year students at Piedmont Tech’s Automotive Technology School. It was funded by the PTC Foundation with help from automotive sponsors such as DynoMax. After touring South Carolina the Cobra will be sold and all proceeds will return to the PTC Foundation.
